Five Photos That Will Inspire You to Visit South Korea in the Fall

I absolutely love South Korea in the fall. Autumn has always been my favorite season but this country has some of the most beautiful fall foliage I have ever seen. Especially out in the mountains! One of our favorite things to do here is just go for a drive or a hike and admire all of the beautiful fall colors.

Chungjuho Lake is one of my favorite spots in all of South Korea (located in Jecheon). Not only is it absolutely beautiful with breathtaking views of the mountains, but there is so much to do in this town! There are tons of spots to go hiking nearby, many beautiful resorts, and there’s even a park nearby where you can go bungee jumping!

An extremely underrated hike in South Korea. We came here the first weekend in November and the colors were gorgeous. The top of the mountain is covered in “silver grass” and there is even a festival held every year to honor the beauty of it!

Not only is the tower itself gorgeous, but if you go to the top, you can have one of the best views in all of Seoul. Plus, the cable car ride to the top (where you enter the tower) has gorgeous views of the city and tons of fall foliage as well. For more info on a trip to Seoul Tower, click here.

Yongsan Family Park in Seoul is gorgeous in the fall! Especially this little spot called “Dragon Falls” back one of the paths. Can you spot the waterfall?

Tips for Visiting South Korea in the Fall

  1. Dress warm. While it can still get pretty warm during the day, mornings and evenings can actually get very chilly. You’ll want to bring a coat or at the very least a light jacket!
  2. Go hiking. You’ll always get the best views from above and there are SO many great spots to go hiking in South Korea.
  3. Research what’s going on at your destination. Fall is festival season in South Korea and you can find one just about anywhere you go!
