What’s so unique about the Ddong Cafe? Well, for starters.. it’s poo themed. Yep, poo. While Seoul may be full of unique themed cafes, I think the “poop cafe” definitely takes the cake. Everything at this cafe is poo-related. The decor, the drinks, and even the food. This is everything you need to know for your trip to the Ddong Cafe in Insadong, Seoul.
The Ddong Cafe in Seoul
Everything, and I mean everything, is poo themed at Ddong Cafe in Seoul. There are poo shaped pillows at the tables, toilet bowl mugs to sip your lattes from, and even poo shaped ice cream and waffles served in a toilet shaped bowl. Poo-shaped smiley faces are painted on the walls, the floor, and hanging from the ceiling!

The poo themed food and drinks aren’t the cheapest but themed cafes like this never are. You have to pay a bit extra for one of the drinks in the toilet bowl shaped mugs and the poo ice cream waffles are more expensive than other items on the menu but if you ask me, it’s worth it. It not only makes for a hilarious meal, but it was all pretty delicious as well.
The Ddong Cafe is located in the Insadong District in Seoul, South Korea. It’s not the easiest to find on a map but it’s located on the top floor of a shopping center on Insadong Culture Street. It’s kind of hard to find on GPS but if you type ‘Gyeongnam Gallery’ into the Naver app it will take you straight there. If you go around the back of this shopping center to the left you’ll see a sign for the cafe near a clothing/jewelry shop (shown below). Enter there and take the elevator up to the 4th floor.
This is a great cafe for couples, friends, or even families with children. Kids are sure to appreciate all of the ‘poo themed’ things in this cafe! No matter who you’re traveling with, the Ddong Cafe is definitely worth a visit on your next trip to Seoul.
