Ultimate List of the Top Gifts for Travelers

Okay guys it’s about that time… holiday season! I heard someone mention the other day how many weeks are left until Christmas and I’m pretty sure my jaw hit the floor. It comes so fast! I know that finding the right gift can be hard, especially for a traveler. Travelers typically will value life experiences more so than material things, making them particularly hard to shop for. However, there are still many gifts that they will certainly appreciate. I’ve put together a list of the ‘top gifts for travelers’ for that traveler in your life, that they’re guaranteed to love.

Top Gifts for Travelers

Travel Wallet

The Calpak travel wallet is my absolute favorite. I literally don’t go anywhere without it. The fact that it was large enough to fit all of my documents (yes, even boarding passes!) was a huge selling point for me. Sure, there are others out there that will, but this one is actually stylish! It comes in multiple colors and the fur strap is removable. This is hands down one of the top gifts for travelers. Any traveler will love this!

Travel Books

Nothing sparks the wanderlust quite like reading a book all about travels. There are so many to choose from, but these are a few of my favorites.

Kindle Fire

For entertainment on long flights, train rides, beach days, you name it. And these are so affordable now, too!

Packing Cubes

Packing cubes are a total life-saver if you’re trying to pack light. Or if you’re just trying to keep your luggage a bit more organized.

S’well Water Bottle

These bottles are not only cute AF but they’re super functional too. The ‘Sip by S’well’ bottle will keep your drink cold for up to 24 hours and hot for up to 12. I know that tons of bottles claim to do this but this one actually does. I even tested it by leaving one in my hot car for a full day and when I finally took a drink my water was still ice cold!

The reason I love this bottle so much is because I take it on hikes and other strenuous activities with me. There’s nothing worse than getting to the top of a mountain and having lukewarm water. Yuck! I love this bottle so much I own it in three different colors!

World Atlas

What can I say, travelers love maps! It’s fun to highlight all of the places you’ve been or to plan out all of the places you want to go!

Polaroid Camera & Film

There’s something so nice about taking a photo and having an instant keepsake for that memory.

Travel Sized Hair Straightener

Because every precious inch of luggage space counts!

Heat Resistant Pouch

If you bring a hair straightener or a curling iron on your travels, you’re also going to need a heat resistant pouch to put it in! I always do my hair last which means as soon as I’m done with that, I’m ready to head out the door. But my straightener is not ready.. it’s still hot! Way to hot to just toss back into my luggage.

This one is great because it works as a mat while you’re styling your hair and then a pouch when you’re ready to pack up and go! And it’s super cheap!

Noise Cancelling Headphones

What’s the best way to ruin a flight? Not being able to sleep because of the crying baby two rows back or the guy next to you that just won’t stop talking. Buying myself a pair of these was the best thing I ever did.

Luggage Set

Okay so this might not be the most affordable option but it will definitely be the most appreciated. I hate buying new luggage but, unfortunately, it’s a must. Airports (and travels in general) are hard on luggage!

Some of my favorites are the BÉIS check-in roller and carry-on roller which you can find here and here.

OR you could go with this Samsonite 3-piece set.

Plane Ticket or Cruise

Any traveler will have this as one of the top gifts on their list anyway. You can even do it in the form of an airline gift card! Surprise them with a free flight to the next place on their bucket list. Or book them a cruise, the perfect vacation!

Laptop Backpack

The ‘Calpak Kaya Laptop Backpack’ is one of my absolute favorites and I take it with me every time I travel. It’s perfect for bringing my laptop, iPad, and all of my other essential carry-on items. It even has a sleeve pocket on the back so you can let it rest on top of your luggage while you’re making your way through the airport! Not to mention, it’s super freakin’ cute. This is one of the top gifts for travelers and for fashionistas.

Best Stocking Stuffers for Travelers

Cord Tacos

Because let’s be honest, nothing is worse than your headphones, phone charger, iPad charger, etc. getting tangled in your luggage. Well, maybe one thing is. Having to untangle them.

Travel Necessities Kit

Because you just never know when you’ll need it!

Portable Charger / Power Bank

If you can manage to get through a whole day of traveling without your phone dying, please teach me your ways. After a long flight, a whole day of pulling up directions, and countless photos taken, my phone is definitely in need of a charge!

Alex and Ani Travel Bracelet

Everyone loves Alex and Ani bracelets but there are so many cute travel-related ones, like this one with the compass charm!

Travel Journal

I’m a firm believer that every traveler should keep a journal. It doesn’t have to be like a diary where you write every thought and feeling. Just what you did that day, cool things you saw, where you ate. Things you’ll want to remember 50 years from now.

Carry-On Cocktail Kit

I mean, do I even have to explain this one?

Great list! Packing cubes are really amazing. I just tried them on my latest trip to Bratislava and you can fit so much in them. 🙂

Thank you! They really are, they help me save SO much space in my luggage (which I definitely need because I always overpack 😅).
