Golden Triangle Instagram Spots

Stop #1: Jaipur

Patrika Gate

The Golden Triangle Instagram Spots - Lost With Jen

The Patrika Gate might be the most instagrammable spot in all of India! The walls are all so colorful and full of detail. It may be gorgeous in photos but I promise it’s even more beautiful in person, if you can believe it. I would suggest coming early in the day to avoid having many other people there. However, we did come in the middle of the day and had no problem getting photos with no one else in them.

Gatore ki Chhatriyan

Gatore Ki Chhatriyan was full of amazing photo opportunities and we had the whole place to ourselves! It was just about the only place in India where we were able to enjoy some peace and quiet. The tombs were beautiful and you can even see Nahargarh Fort from here!

Hawa Mahal

The Hawa Mahal / Palace of the Winds in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India

This photo was taken from across the street on the rooftop of Tattoo Cafe. There are quite a few different cafes with great views of Hawa Mahal from across the street but we loved having lunch up on the rooftop. You can actually go inside the palace if you should choose to do so but we chose to just admire this one from afar.

Amber Fort

Of all the forts in India, Amber Fort was by far our favorite. The palace grounds were beautiful and the views from the top were insane. Amber Fort was by far one of my favorite spots in all of India. And, one of the most instagrammable!

Stop #2: Delhi

Jantar Mantar

There are a few different Jantar Mantars all over India but I think the one in Delhi would have to be my favorite. It was much more relaxed than the one in Jaipur with far fewer crowds. There were only a few others here enjoying a picnic dinner at sunset. We even made friends with one of the guards!

Agrasen ki Baoli

There are many stepwells in India but Agrasen Ki Baoli in Delhi is definitely one of my favorites. There were many people here just enjoying the shade but it was still a very relaxed atmosphere. The symmetry of this place was amazing and made for photo opportunity gold!

Humayun’s Tomb

Humayun’s Tomb is one of the most symmetrical buildings in all of India (at least it definitely seemed that way!). It’s full of beautiful gardens which were so perfect to explore on a sunny day in Delhi. There are so many amazing photo spots in the gardens as well as inside. This one is a must-see!

Stop #3: Agra

The Taj Mahal

The Golden Triangle Instagram Spots, the Taj Mahal in Agra, India - Lost With Jen

The most popular attraction in India (and one of the best Golden Triangle instagram spots), the Taj Mahal. It was everything I had ever dreamed of and more! For just a few dollars you can even pay a local guide to take photos for you while you visit the Taj. It was definitely worth it! The most popular photo spots here would be in front of the second pool and inside the arches of the mosque (the one to the left of the Taj).

Agra Fort

Agra Fort (quite possibly my favorite spot in Agra other than the Taj) was full of beautiful photo spots. There are so many symmetrical walkways, gorgeous windows, and gardens. And, on a clear day you have an amazing view of the Taj Mahal from here!

Akbar’s Tomb

Akbar’s Tomb in Agra, India

Akbar’s Tomb was full of amazing symmetrical walkways which always make for great photos. The tomb is also surrounded by many beautiful gardens where you are likely to find many different kinds of animals lounging. You could easily spend a few hours here.
